Developed for applications with limited space, the STIXX fixtures feature a slim, space-saving design with module efficiency of up to 3.1 μmol/J. Backed by LM-80 testing with TM-21 lifetimes exceeding 53,000 hours, the luminaires deliver exceptional reliability and long service life. Cree LED was recognized for their innovative use of ETQ Reliance QMS for customer satisfaction surveys and a custom quoting solution.

During ETQ’s customer conference, held June 16-19 in Las Vegas, Cree LED was named winner of the ETQ Innovation Excellence Awards. The Company was selected for its innovative use of ETQ Reliance® for quality-driven customer surveys and a custom quoting solution that streamlines the quoting process.

The Innovation Excellence Award spotlights customer ingenuity in using the ETQ Reliance quality management system (QMS) in creative and innovative ways to address some of the most pressing challenges in quality management today.

Cree LED leveraged its ETQ Reliance platform to create a custom module solution which stores data in the QMS and eases customer input. The module provides automated workflows, which allow surveys to get routed to the customer service team as soon as they are completed. Further, by integrating analytics, the survey module can track customer satisfaction data, helping Cree LED continuously improve operations. 

By building a robust custom quoting module on the platform, Cree LED was able to streamline the process of quoting, production planning and workflow management. The system centralizes customer requests, including specifications such as product type, production quantities, size and shape of custom items, ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and customers for timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Six KSF/PFS Phosphor Patents Included for LED Manufacturing

Cree LED, an SGH company (Nasdaq: SGH), and Current Lighting Solutions, LLC announced that they entered into a patent license agreement, effective October 2022, with respect to Current’s patents related to KSF (also called PFS) red phosphor.

Under the agreement, Cree LED has been granted by Current, a limited, nonexclusive, and world-wide license under U.S. Patent Nos. 7,358,542; 7,453,195; 7,497,973; 7,648,649; 7,847,309; and 9,680,067.

This license covers Cree LED products featuring Pro9™ technology which utilizes Potassium Fluoride Silicon (KSF/PFS phosphor). This phosphor boosts the efficiency of LED components especially those delivering higher CRI (Color Rendering Index).

Cree LED’s product portfolio includes a broad range of Pro9 LED products, including XLamp® COB LED arrays, high-power LEDs, and J Series® mid-power LEDs. Cree LED customers using Pro9-enhanced products benefit from the high color quality, efficiency, and reliability of these LEDs.
